Metra has scheduled the extra train to depart university park station at 4 p.m., arriving at downtown chicago's millennium station by 4:58 p.m., according to an announcement by the chicago. Metra will be bringing holiday magic to six rail lines on four saturdays this november and december with special holiday train rides on decorated trains filled with holiday characters.
Metra holiday train rides are back starting this month and tickets go on sale on monday, november 11. The trains will run on four saturdays in november and december on the metra electric, bnsf, milwaukee district north, rock island, union pacific northwest and union pacific north.
